Surprise is a city in Maricopa County. It’s population was 90,717 in 2007 census. It was said in the 1990’s to 2000’s that Surprise was the sixth fastest growing place among all cities and towns in Arizona. The founder of Surprise was Homer C. Ludden who was a real estate developer and state legislator he named the town after his hometown Surprise, Nebraska. The city is home to the Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers baseball teams.
